We’re excited to introduce Alicia Lou, our newest Senior Clinical Optometrist, who has quickly become a valued part of both our practice and the wider Mermaid Beach community.
Alicia brings a calm, caring approach to every consultation and is passionate about helping patients fully understand their eye health and treatment options. She offers consultations in both English and Mandarin, helping us better support our diverse local community.

Practice owner Jackson Yip has over a decade of experience and takes a holistic, personalised approach to eye care. He focuses on understanding each patient’s lifestyle, whether that’s driving, screen use, or reading and providing practical solutions for long-term comfort and clarity.
Jackson is passionate about early detection and preventative eye care and regularly contributes to community education, media, and professional conferences.
👁️ Shaina Zheng – Lead Dry Eye Optometrist
Shaina Zheng, co-owner and clinical optometrist, leads our dry eye services. Having personally experienced dry eye disease, she brings deep empathy and expertise to her care.
Shaina is the Vice President of the Dry Eye Society, a national organisation dedicated to advancing dry eye education and clinical excellence. She is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and is widely recognised for her work in dry eye management.
