DESIGN YOUR OWN VISION

PERSONALISED LENSES

Visioffice

For 120 years, optometrists have been testing eyes and prescribing glasses by determining AVERAGE values of how a frame would fit on an individual. This has given reasonably good results.

The Visioffice doesn't just use average values. It takes into account anatomy and positioning of the eye, as well as posture and frame fit of the individual.

Only Visioffice measures the real 3D position of each eye's unique eye rotation center to create the most personalised lenses possible.

The measurements are then combined with the optometrist's prescription and are all merged into the lens order sent to the lab.

THE BENEFITS

  • Sharp clear personalised lenses giving crisper vision

  • Lenses that adapt to you, not you adapting to the lenses

OUR OPTOMETRISTS RECOMMEND

  • Visioffice measurements on ALL orders for premium single vision and multifocal lenses.

MULTIFOCAL LENSES

Multifocal lenses give good distance vision in the top of the lens, good mid-range vision half way down and good reading vision at the bottom. They don't have the obvious line across the lens like bifocals.

Mutlifocal lenses are constantly evolving. Older cheaper designs tend to have more blur in the edges and a narrower "sweet spot" of clear vision in the middle.

Newer designs have a nicer, smoother blend from distance to reading, a broader area of really clear vision and less distortion.

Office multifocal lenses are designed only for distances out to 1 to 3 metres. They have a much broader "sweet spot" for reading and computer. These Office lenses are great for desk and office environments when doing lots of near work. They're far more flexible than just a pair of reading glasses.

  • Office PLUS personalised multifocal lenses for office, computer and near work

MATERIALS

Spectacle lenses are made of plastic. There are different grades of plastic.

The standard plastic is 1.5 (index). Denser plastics come in 1.6 or 1.67 or 1.74. The higher the number the thinner the lenses. This can make a big difference if you have a moderate or high prescription.

1.6 and 1.67 materials are thinner, lighter and stronger than 1.5, so they are better for higher powers, rimless frames and for safety, sport and children.

THE BENEFITS

  • Thinner lenses

  • Lighter weight lenses

  • Nicer looking lenses

OUR OPTOMETRISTS RECOMMEND

  • 1.6 or 1.67 materials

  • 1.74 materials for high prescriptions

Our Sapphire multicoat includes extreme UV protection on both front and back surfaces of the lenses, plus they have the best scratch resistance.

Our Blue light filter gives extra protection from the excess blue light from computer and tablet screens.

THE BENEFITS

  • Better scratch resistance

  • Reduced relfections, crisper vision

  • Better contract, richer colours

  • Night driving is safer

OUR OPTOMETRISTS RECOMMEND

  • Sapphire multicoat for all glasses

Transitions lenses change from clear indoors to dark in the sun.

Separate prescription sunnies give the best protection.
